These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Healthy Food Scanner - Bite (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description & No Medical Advice

The App helps you look up food product information and provides summaries or scores for convenience. We do not provide medical, nutritional, or legal advice. Always verify labels and consult qualified professionals for health decisions.

2. Your Responsibilities

• Use the App lawfully and for personal, non-commercial purposes unless we authorize otherwise.
• Do not misuse the App (e.g., reverse engineering, automated scraping, security attacks).
• Do not upload unlawful or infringing content (e.g., photos without rights, personal info of others).

3. Third-Party Data: Open Food Facts

The App retrieves product data from Open Food Facts (OFF). OFF’s database is licensed under ODbL 1.0 and typically requires attribution and share-alike for public use of adapted databases; product images are generally under CC BY-SA and may contain protected branding elements. You acknowledge that OFF data may be incomplete or inaccurate and is provided “as is.” Required attribution appears in the App and in these Terms.

4. License to You

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the App. We reserve all other rights.

5. User Content

If you submit content (e.g., feedback, optional product photos), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host and use it to operate and improve the App. You represent you have the necessary rights.

6. Intellectual Property

We and our licensors retain all rights in the App. Third-party trademarks and materials (including those appearing in product images) are the property of their respective owners.

7. Disclaimers

THE APP AND ALL DATA (INCLUDING OFF DATA) ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. 8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill.

9. Changes, Suspension, Termination

We may modify or discontinue the App or features at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Disputes will be resolved in the courts of local. Local mandatory consumer laws may still apply.

11. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms; continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance.
